Capstone: Study Cafe

The way people work best varies from person to person, so this concept was aimed towards providing spaces that meet the needs of each individual that enters the building. By using research on the seven learning styles, different spaces were specifically designed to provide for the needs of each style. This allows community members to find their comfort zone and increases their chance for productivity. This large work place also includes a cafe on the first level that serves beverages and light snacks to ensure a longer, undisturbed work time. The design concept for this study cafe stemmed from the seven learning styles in the way that they each use different parts of the brain. This led to the curved forms and the color selections.
